Discover Your Identity in Christ | Day 12

A Challenge That Never Ends

This is a challenge that lasts a lifetime. No matter how many times you repeat it, you need to hear it. So, every day when you wake up and before you go to bed, repeat these discoveries to yourself. Whenever you feel discouraged or alone, repeat them. It will help you to NEVER forget who you are In Christ.

Throw away the old list; disregard it. Because you no longer see yourself through your own eyes or the eyes of others but through Christ’s alone.

Discover your Identity in Christ | DAY 2

The Root

First, read this article written by Joyce Meyer who had struggled with her identity, which was rooted in her past.

I want you to think and meditate on what the root cause may be. Ask God. We need to first discover the cause of why we feel the way we feel. Were you physically, mentally, and sexually abused as a child? Were you told you were worthless? That they wished you were never born? Were you abandoned by a parent or someone close? Have you been reject or were you never shown love as a child?

The things that happened to us as children affect us today. It is up to us to discover the bad things, the roots, and make our journey to self-healing and deliverance. It doesn’t happen overnight but it’s a process; so be patient.

Discover Your Identity in Christ | Day 1

Evaluate Yourself

Please go to the MAIN INTRODUCTION PAGE for this challenge before continuing. Thank you!

Write down and describe who you are; the good and the bad. Be honest with yourself. You can even make two columns – on the left write down all the bad you see in yourself and on the right write down all the good.

When we choose to define who we are by our own standards and by what the world says who we are through media, INSTEAD of defining ourselves through our relationship with Christ (The Word of God), problems will arise; depression, self-hatred, feeling unloved, unwanted, unworthy…just to name a few.

21 Day (Jesus + YOU) Challenge: Day Twenty-One

Hebrews 13:18-25

Through the blood of the everlasting covenant, you are complete when doing His will; doing a work in you that is well pleasing in Gods sight – through out Lord Jesus Christ.

When we are doing the Will of the Father, we are complete and pleasing to Him who loves us with His whole heart.

I do hope, as you went through this challenge, that you wrote down many things that God personally spoke to you. Read them again and again, to continually remind you that Gos loves you, speaks to you, died for you, and that He will never leave you, nor forsake you. Glory be to God!

If you have any suggestions or questions, please comment below. I would love to read them. God bless.

21 Day (Jesus + YOU) Challenge: Day Twenty

Hebrews 13:7-17

Three things stood out to me:

  1. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever: God never changes, He is forever the same. He doesn’t change His mind. He always sticks to His Word. If He said He would do something, than He will. If it does not come to pass, it is because of your lack of Faith. We must have faith.
  2. Do not be strayed by false doctrines: Everything should align to the Word of God. Don’t just believe everything someone tells you. Read your Word. Ask them to give you scripture to back up their claim. Read it and study it for yourself.
  3. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, that we can find redemption, grace, peace, love…among many other things. God is a good God and without Him we are nothing but dust formed from the ground. Praise Him. Give Him thanks for all He has done for you, give Him praise for who he is and let it be forever upon your lips – no matter what situation you are going through.

21 Day (Jesus + YOU) Challenge: Day Nineteen

Hebrews 12:25 – 13:6

What stood out to me the most of when the Word said in chapter 13 and verses 5-6:

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say:

“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?”

Deuteronomy 31:6, 8, and Joshua 1:5 say the same thing; that God will never leave us or forsake us.

No matter what we do, no matter how many times we may turn our back on Him because of sin, disobedience, disbelief, etc. He will always be there. He will never leave our side, nor will he ever forsake us. He is there during the bad times, the good times, when we cry, when we get angry – He is always there.

That is comforting.
